Ok, ok, New Year's resolution: I'll get better at posting these regularly. I got sidetracked with vacation and the holidays, but we're starting anew here and I'll be posting these on the regular.
I would wager a guess that the most interesting blotter here is the New Year's Eve one.
Here are the high(low)lights I noticed:
One thing I find interesting is what the New Year's Eve police chase/crash
looked like in the blotter at about 1:15 a.m. or so. It looked so mundane in the blotter on page 8.
About 10 minutes after the crash, at 1:25 a.m., there was a
seemingly unrelated report of 20 people in a parking lot on South Broadway,
I don’t envy the police on nights like this one, for sure, seeing as
though the next blotter entry (within a couple minutes) was a report of someone being assaulted on
From here on out, I’ll just start listing the interesting
ones, but it’s definitely worth a look at the regular blotter, since it is
nothing but “intoxicated male… intoxicated female…” followed by ridiculous antics.
1:50 a.m. Report: white female in black mini-skirt,
intoxicated, feeling faint (can you narrow it down?)
1:52 a.m. Male subject down on Caroline street, bleeding
from the head.
2:01 a.m. Two vehicles struck. An arrest was made.
2:19 a.m. Broadway: Male subject sleeping in a snow bank. (I’m
sure he was just tired).
2:31 a.m. Intoxicated caller reports male told her he has a
gun. None found.
2:30 a.m. Male down with head injury.
2:57 a.m. Grand Avenue – reports of screams from neighboring
3:04 a.m. 7 Caroline Street: Unwanted guest, intoxicated
3:06 a.m. Female walking in the middle of the street,
flagging cars down for a ride.
3:39 a.m. 7 Caroline Street: Unwanted guest, intoxicated
4:20 a.m. Caroline Street: Reports of two males assaulting a
female. Verbal warning.
5:03 a.m. Granite Street: Intoxicated male gained entrance
into house and left with unknown direction of travel.
Here it is in all its glory:
New Year's Eve Blotter
From here on out I'll put it all in chronological order starting with the one that came out the morning of Christmas Eve.
Dec. 24 blotter
The Christmas Eve and Christmas day blotters both came out in one on Dec. 26.
Blotter from Christmas Eve, Day
Here is the one from Dec. 27:
Dec. 27 blotter
Dec. 28 blotter
Dec. 29 blotter
Dec. 30 blotter
Dec. 31 (which would have been from the night before).
Dec. 31 blotter
Obviously you saw the blotter from the night of Dec. 31 at the top, so here is the first full blotter of the New Year.
First full blotter of the New Year
Well, I'm working for the next few days, so Let's see how long this resolution lasts (also, weekends don't count, I'll post them Monday or Tuesday, whenever I get in for the week.
